The Nation's Obama's War?

OBAMA's WAR?

Although I agree with some of this article. I truly find it hard to believe that it is just the President's war. The article I reviewed this week, was about President Obama making promises to end the war in Iraq, bring home soilders, and he who had ordered a review of the US options, claiming we need didn't need all the soilders overseas, was now sending 17,000 troops. The article also states" On the same day Obama announced his escalation, the United Nations reported that Afghan civilian deaths--many of them at the hands of US forces, especially from airstrikes-- increased by 40 percent last year". As bad as that is, I'm sorry. We as Americans have to take care of ourselves. Now what really makes me mad is that politics are now saying that President Obama has taken over President Bush's war. OK! Well let me spill my guts on these comments. It isn't really Obama's war or wasn't Bush's. Would it have been better for US(ALL OF US), as AMERICANS, to let terrorist have gotten away with 9/11? Now really. If President Bush hadn't decided for war, that's what would have happened. All those lives, gone for no reason. No War would have meant we really didn't care. So WELL DONE PRESIDENT BUSH!!!! It's not a President's WAR..... IT'S THE AMERICANS WAR!

Less Stimulus

The Senate Democrats a determined to pass something in the Stimulus package. The Senate's $780 billion stimulus plan is a budget buster. The Senate plan is dramatically more weighted than the House bill toward tax cuts. Over 40 percent of the stimulus package that is proposed are cost of tax cuts. Some say that the tax cuts will do little or nothing to stimulate job creation, which we are in dire, need for saying we lost over 600,000 jobs in January alone. They have cut out over 20 billion alone that was set aside for school construction, that would actually give people permanent jobs and help with education. The money for Head Start and Early Start childcare has been cut. Transportation funding has been cut. The House's proposal to help maintain unemployed Americans heath benefits has been cut. My opinion of this whole stimulus proposal is IT IS A MESS! How will any of this help everyday Americans? I thought this whole stimulus proposal was to help us get out of the situations most of us are in. Why are we as a country going to go billions of dollars in debt to help car manufactors? We need to be helping the school systems, helping the unemployed, and helping the elders not bailing out car companies. This new president thing was supposed to make everything better and all he has done so far is make things worse.
